Engineering (Precision)
Precision Engineering involves the envisioning and fabrication of creations where high tolerances are required. Precision Engineering projects tend to have a mechanical component or very fine components. Clockwork hardware and software is also covered under Precision Engineering.
Complex projects may require multiple disciplines to complete. For example, creating a mechanical steamboat would require Macroengineering to create the hull and superstructure, Precision Engineering for steering and controls, and Alchemical Engineering for the drive system.
Engineering (Precision) Stunts
- Specialization: Choose a subfield of Engineering (Precision) such as Clockwork, Gunsmithing, Locksmithing, etc. You get a +2 bonus to all Engineering (Precision) rolls relating to that field of specialization.
- It's Not a Bug, It's a Feature: Once per scene, when you fail to create an advantage involving Clockwork devices, you can still invoke the boost.
- Better than New: Whenever you succeed with style on an overcome action to repair a piece of machinery, you can immediately give it a new situation aspect (with a free invoke) reflecting the improvements you’ve made, instead of just a boost.
